About Me
Dr. Ram Manohar is currently a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Texas A&M University, CC, TX, USA. Prior to joining Texas A&M University in 2024, he held the position of Institute Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IIT Kanpur), India. Dr. Manohar earned his Ph.D. in Mathematics from the Department of Mathematics, Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati (IIT Guwahati), India. His doctoral research, supervised by Prof. Rajen Kumar Sinha, focused on “A Posteriori Error Estimates for Finite Element Discretizations of Parabolic Optimal Control Problems”. His primary research interests lie in the theoretical and numerical analysis of optimal control problems, particularly those governed by partial differential equations (PDEs). He has contributed to the development of finite element error analysis and conducted extensive numerical experiments to validate convergence and efficiency of adaptive algorithms.
Dr. Manohar received his Master’s degree in Mathematics from the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IIT Kanpur) and his Bachelor’s degree from CSJM University Kanpur. He completed his primary and secondary education at Anand Ucchatar Madhyamik Vidhyalaya Bilwai and Govt. MLT Inter College Mahoba, respectively. He hails from the village of Bilwai, Mahoba-210427, located in the state of Uttar Pradesh, India.
